Worldhopping QT danmei, very similar to QWTFD. This MC is a nine-tailed fox who lost all his tails and has to undertake several missions in different worlds to recover his tails and his full power. Despite his amnesia and loss of power, he is still OP as he has a friendly system, his enchanting ability and also his golden thigh ML. MC is an interesting character... he is quite sassy, free-spirited and pretty much does what he pleases as he is rarely constrained by his system, which is kinda refreshing in a QT novel. He does not mind hugging his golden thighs (aka the ML) or making use of his status/ money/ abilities/ system to take shortcuts towards his goals lol... Except for his occasional pettiness and bullying towards ML (mostly meant for comedy since ML does not mind one bit), MC is quite a likable and fun character.

Overall, this novel is just kind of... boring. The story follows Xue Ling, a demon fox that lost his tails and must go through various worlds to steal the luck of the world's darlings to regain his strength. It's a quick transmigration novel.
The general attitude XL takes towards the tasks are exactly like that of a fox/cat: indolent, a little haughty, mischievous, cold, and quick to bore. I've gone through 4 arcs at this point, and there's just very little tension. The original plots he finds himself embroiled in are pretty nonsensical. The world's darlings are all scum with no redeeming qualities.
You'd think the scheming and face slapping would be the highlights, with the targets being tr*sh and the MC being a cunning fox, but the main plots are usually solved quite quickly. He schemes a bit, makes some headway, meets the ML who has so far been some high powered individual, toys with his targets, and eventually gets bored, letting the ML mop up the rest. This setup isn't new to quick trans novels, but it's just... not very dramatic. His schemes aren't complicated, and they work without twists and turns or any surprises whatsoever. He also has access to the ML's golden thigh, so like I said, there's just no tension and it ends very quickly. Pacing is all-around an issue in this novel. WTMT simply has one or two major face slapping confrontations after the MC quickly rises to power (sometimes even in the background after a time skip) and then it's onto the next world.
The relationship between the leads is much more interesting. Overarching relationship is shrouded in mystery, and it's been fun seeing their personalities play off each other in the worlds - the fox and his emotionally repressed but indulgent lover. XL acts as the sly but distant seductress, never the first to initiate, and reading about the ML's evolving response to it is interesting, if only I didn't have to slog through the rest of the novel.
