“No. Definitely not.” Elliot interrupted Hawk. He didn’t bother listening to the end. Nothing must change with his beautiful Frosty’s physique! “Next!”

Elliot’s eyes gleamed greedily when he heard those wonderful words from Hawk the AI. Of course he had to ask the next question.

“Can she eat both the Mutated Purple Brood Mother’s Beast Core as well as the Mutated Gojira’s Beast Core?”

[Affirmative. The Archaic Kaijin will be able to consume one Beast Core at its current level, and another one at level fifteen. Please note that consuming the Mutated Purple Brood Mother’s Beast Core will permanently erase a skill to make space for Devour. And every new skill learnt by Devour will also require one old skill to be erased.]

“HA HA HA HA!” Elliot laughed out loudly in his public mindspace with extreme glee like a little boy being told that he could have the ENTIRE yummilicious fruit cake AND eat it too!

“Perfect! That means I am sacrificing one skill slot to gain the ability to learn any skill I can get my hands on for the other four! Great deal! Very, very good!”

“FOOD!” Frosty snapped in irritation at Elliot. “MORE FOOD!”

“Okay, okay. Here, have the Mutated Purple Brood Mother’s Beast Core first!” Elliot chuckled and tossed her a beast core that was almost as large as her newborn body.

“Hmmmmmmmm.” The greedy Frosty opened its mouth wide and began to bite and gnaw at the beast core. Even though she was a newborn, her jaw strength was definitely nothing to be scoffed at as she easily bit into the large beast core and cracked it into smaller pieces.

Chomp! Chomp! Chomp!

After a few ferocious bites and reckless swallowing, the beast core disappeared into her stomach which was bulging very noticeably.

BURP!

Frosty belched loudly, placed its cute little head on her front legs and promptly fell asleep.

“Uhhh. She actually fell asleep. How long till the mutation is complete?” Elliot asked Hawk.

[The mutation will take approximately 5 minutes to complete. Please select an existing to be erased to make space for Devour.]

“Hmmm. I choose Armor-Piercing Slash.” Elliot thought for a while and decided.

[Acknowledged.]

“Good. I’ll wake her up in ten minutes to sign a Beast Apostle Contract with her.” Elliot grinned happily and laid back on his bed, feeling satisfied. “Tell me when it’s time.”

[Acknowledged.]

He had six Rare Grade Armored Kaijins and an ultra rare Mythical Grade Archaic Kaijin. If he played his cards right, he might even be able to breed an entire Armored Kaijin tribe!

“Heck, why not? I’m already planning to set up a fortress. Why not add a beastiary to it? Frosty can set up her clan with me since she’d only need the six Armored Kaijins.” Elliot thought carelessly. “I’ll just do anything and everything I want to do this time. Let’s see who can stop me!”

Lost in his thoughts of managing a giant fortress filled with glorious flying dragons of every single possible colour, ten minutes went by really quickly.

[It is time.]

Elliot glanced down at Frosty. She was still sleeping soundly. In fact, she was even snoring lightly!

Elliot poked his hand at her belly.

Hiss! She hissed lightly, but remained sleeping.

“Hey! What kind of dragon are you? You have no sense of danger at all! If I’m a predator, you’re already food in my tummy you know! Wake up!” Elliot poked Frosty once more.

Finally, she woke up with a huge yawn and blinked sleepily at Elliot.

Elliot realized that he still had the mindspace connection with Frosty, so he immediately spoke to it.

“Hey. Did you like that beast core?” Elliot asked her with a smile.

“Beast core good.” Frosty blinked slowly and stared at Elliot in a friendly manner.

“Do you want some more?” Elliot offered.

“Later. I want some more later.” Frosty immediately replied.

“Good! Just tell me when you want one, alright?” Elliot said.

“Okay!” Frosty replied.

“By the way, do you want to be my Ice Apostle?” Elliot asked casually.

Instantly, details of the Ice Apostle Beast Contract appeared in their minds.

Elliot had to laugh at the prompt. He was about to shout “Summon Giant Armored Mammoth!” when suddenly the image of the Mutated Purple Brood Mother easily killing TWO of his Giant Armored Mammoths appeared in his mind.

“Giant Armored Mammoth is a powerful summon skill. But’¦ It doesn’t really scale very well in terms of strength. It’ll be pretty much useless in the higher levels.” Elliot muttered.

“Hey Hawk, is there a way to increase the grade of the Giant Armored Mammoth which I can summon with the skill?” Elliot asked out of sheer greed.
