Chapter 49 A Wild Member Appears?

"But why are you suddenly interested in that?" Jonah asked, quite surprised.

"I'll tell you that, but if I am not prying too much, why do you want to leave your job?" I asked, giving her the option to back out.

"It's just too much." Jonah said with a sigh, "Searching for new people, managing them, convincing them to sign a contract, then keeping tabs on them. Like you know how much time I have spent on just you, right?"

I nodded. She had indeed spent a lot of time with me, albeit she did just disappear a few times, but she has been with me almost the whole time I have been here.

"Yeah, and I have to take care of many more people too, and it takes the same time I put into you. Once your shoot gets over, I already have two people scheduled next. And for that amount of work, what I get paid is miniscule. I have asked for a raise so many times but… It didn't work. It feels like my presence here, even though I put in so much effort, is not valued. So, I decided not decided. More like, i was just thinking of resigning, but now that I have written this, I guess I really want to leave." Jonah concluded with a sigh.

I could tell from her expression she liked this line of work, but was frustrated that no one appreciated her.

"The newbie's I bring in, once they become a top star or just drop out, they just forget me… It's painful. Not once has one of them said a single thank you."

"Thank you," I said with a smile.

Jonah stared at me with her eyebrows raised, and then burst into a chuckle.

"Ha~ thank you too!" she said, wiping her eye, which had a teardrop forming at its corner.

"No, seriously, I appreciate all you have done. I just didn't know you had to do just so much." This, however, meant that I had a shot at getting a veteran from the porno community in the porn house.

Even if she did not agree to take part in the sex and stuff, as long as we have someone who knows about how all that works, it would be a tremendous help to the porn house.

"Well, since you plan on resigning, what do you plan on doing after this?" I asked her slowly, trying to reach up to the main course.

"I don't know yet? Maybe I'll just go with the flow, let the universe find its spot for me. I think I have made enough to go a year or two without a job." She said, looking up at the ceiling as if she could see the sky.

"Then I have a proposal." I said with a smirk.

"Huh?"

"Alexandra, Tanith, Ai and I are planning to start a content house, but for porno, what do you say? Wanna join?"

"You do realize I will need more information than that?" Jonah commented as a crease appeared on her forehead.

"I know, but first, I think I should get some clothes." I said as I realized that all this while I was buck naked.

"Oh, right, yeah, do that." Jonah said as she grinned after scanning my body from head to toe.

It took a while, but I got my clothes back. The crew had mostly recovered, but I am sure I heard a few talking about how small fatty's weiner was.

Abi was still down, and no one seemed to care about moving or even waking her up.

Claire, however, seemed to lag behind in the recovery. She was standing in a group of people who were talking about what just happened, but she just stood there spacing out.

I pulled her out from the group, at which she was surprised but regained her composure quite quickly.

"What?" she asked in an irritated tone.

"Nothing- you just felt a bit off…" I said, trying to place my words a little sympathetically.

"Yes, and?" She replied.

"I just wanted to know if you were fine." I stated.

"Yes! Yes! I am completely fine. Now please, don't bother me for a while." Claire said as she snapped at my prying.

"Alright, Alright! I got it." I said, as I raised my hands and backed off.

"What were your trying there?" Asked Jonah as I got back.

"Nothing.."

"Oh, so is that your way of hitting on girls?" Said Jonah with a grin.
