Chapter 7: Jiu Hang
Tian Yi stopped walking to turn around seeing Meng Ling running towards him with a pale face.
“Y-young Master, please wait a moment, there has been a misunderstanding. Our Jade Phoenix’s Auction House is willing to help you sell your treasure. No, please let us sell it!” She pleaded.
Lao Bai made a smug face and said, “Aiya, Young Lady, it’s not that we are not willing to, but your little worker over there told us to piss the hell off and even threatened to sell my Young Master off as a male prostitute!” He pointed at the pretty girl who had her mouth wide open.
The pretty girl’s face turned red from anger and almost puked out blood. Since when did she say these words? What male prostitute? He doesn’t even have the looks for it!
“Bullshit! How do we even know you’re telling the truth? What Peak Grade Immortal Treasure! Look at yourself in the mirror and then tell me again you have a treasure even Ancient Immortals don’t! Pei, you’re just trying to make us look bad by spilling out some bull crap!”
She refused to believe that these two mortal have something as precious as a Peak Grade Immortal Treasure.
Meng Ling frowned after listening to her Junior Sister. She was right, how could they possibly have something like that? They probably bullshitted that just to save some face…
“Is that so? Well then, sorry for the drama that we caused.” Tian Yi apologized and started walking again.
Meng Ling looked at him walking away and bit her red lips. “Please wait for a second Young Master! Whether or not you have a Peak Grade Immortal Treasure, please come with me inside so we can look at the treasure. If it is a Peak Grade Immortal Treasure, we can guarantee you that we will sell it for the highest price possible! Even if you sell it somewhere else, you won’t even get half of what you can get from here!”
No matter if it was real or not, she could not take the risk even if it was 99.99% fake. Even if it was fake, so what? At most, they will waste some time and can even punish him later. But if it turned out to be real, the Jade Phoenix’s Auction House will lose out on a huge chance, and she might even lose her head!
Tian Yi stopped again, still with a calm look on his face.
“Do you think I am a monk because I haven’t said anything and endured this humiliation? So what if your Auction House can sell it for more? If you don’t respect your customers, who would want to sell to you?”
“You dare disrespect my Jade Phoenix’s Auction House?! Who do you think you are! I don’t believe you actually have a Peak Grade Immortal Treasure. Even if you do, we won’t buy it from you!” The pretty girl just couldn’t keep her mouth shut.
This swindler not only bullshitted about a treasure he doesn’t have, he even disrespected her Jade Phoenix’s Auction House. She was hell bent on chasing this swindler away.
“You shut up! You’re saying things way above your authority! How are you going to take responsibilities?!” Meng Ling finally snapped at her Junior Sister.
She was already losing face by begging a mortal to stay, yet this Junior Sister kept on making things worst!
“Senior Sister, I am sorry for speaking out of my league, but this kid disrespected our Jade Phoenix’s Auction House and even dares to swindle us! We need to punish him.” She did not feel like she was in the wrong.
“You…” Meng Ling didn’t know what to do with her.
Lao Bai couldn’t hold it back anymore, “You bitch! You dare call my Young Master a swindler?! You trying to fight?!” He started to roll up his already half rolled sleeves again, walking towards her.
But before he could take two steps, a hand stopped him.
“Young Master, please don’t stop me! I won’t leave until I mess up her face today!” He said to the owner of this hand.
Tian Yi finally frowned. Although he didn’t want to cause a scene, this girl kept on humiliating him.
He only wanted to get some fast money and even tried to leave to avoid trouble, yet the other party didn’t want to let him go.
“Good! Since you are like this, then don’t blame me for not giving you face!” He put his hand into his Storage Pouch.
“…..” Meng Ling got a dreadful feeling about what was going to happen and started sweating.
Tian Yi scanned his surroundings with rich looking nobles and smiled, “I have a Peak Grade Immortal Treasure here! The first one to offer the highest price will have it!” Shouting that, he pulled out a sword from his Storage Pouch.
The moment the sword came out, a domineering aura shrouded the entire place making people who looked at it feel their souls tremble. Even their lower ranking Treasures were shaking in awe as if it wanted to kneel in front of this sword.
“A Peak Grade Immortal Sword!!!!”
“No, it’s even stronger than the one’s I seen was before. I-i-is this a Half Step Sovereign Treasure?!”
The entire crowd went crazy and had their eyes go red from desire.
What was a Sovereign Treasure? It was a treasure for these above the Immortal Realm, the Sovereign Realm!
Only the Four Ancient Land each had one and even considers it as their sect’s sacred heirloom.
What was impossible to get for normal people like them, now had a chance to obtain a Half Step Sovereign Treasure. Even if it was not a real Sovereign Treasure, it was still very close to being one!
Who didn’t want something only the Four Ancient Land had?
“I’m willing to offer up my entire middle ranked city!”
“I offer two billion High Ranked Immortal Stones!”
“I’ll give you my high ranked family!”
Everybody started to bid like crazy. The most offered were Immortal Stones, which were currency used in the Immortal Realm. Not only can you buy things, but you can also train your Cultivation with the Spirit Power inside the Stones.
Meng Ling who was watching this turned so pale, she looked like the dead.
But the most scared was the pretty girl who tried to shoo them away. She was so frightened that she lost conscious and fell on the floor. But nobody even paid attention to her and left her to sleep on the cold marble floor.
“I’m screwed! I’m dead!” Meng Ling cried to herself. He lied! It was not a Peak Grade Immortal Treasure but a Half Step Sovereign Treasure!
A few moments later, the bid is already at ten billion High Ranked Immortal Stones. This amount was already enough to scare high ranked families.
With this much, they can buy more than two Peak Grade Immortal Treasure. But can two of them even be worth one Half Step Sovereign Treasure?

A few more minutes later.
“16.9 billion High Ranked Immortal Stones. Any higher?” Lao Bai with a big grin asked.
“….”
Everybody had already offered past the limits of their limit. Unless they sell everything to the last penny, what else can they offer?
Lao Bai counted to three and shouted, “Good! Then this treasure will be sold to this noble sir here!” He started walking towards the hot red-faced old man who bid that price.
“Hold! I am willing to pay 20 billion!” An old voice resounded.
Everybody looked towards the sky where the sound was coming from and saw an old man with long gray hair and a friendly face, looking like someone’s grandpa.
“It’s Senior Hang!” Some said.
“Greetings, Senior!”
Everybody paid their respects.
Senior Han is currently the head of Jade Phoenix’s Auction House and also an elder at the Azure Phoenix God Sect.
He nodded to their greetings and landed in front of Tian Yi.
“Young man, I am called Jiu Hang, the current head of Jade Phoenix’s Auction House, and I am willing to pay you 20 billion High Ranked Immortal Stone for that treasure!” He said while taking out a Storage Pouch.
“….”
Tian Yi looked at this friendly looking old man in front of him. He had no Spirit Power coming out of him, meaning he’s only here to do business and not to cause trouble.
“Sorry Senior, but the auction has already ended, and it belongs to that Senior over there.” He pointed at the old bidder.
“…..”
Jiu Hang looked at the old man.
“Uuhh... No, no, no. I haven’t paid for it yet, so it does not belong to me!” He started shaking his head.
Although he won the bid, he didn’t have the guts not to give some face to Jiu Hang and pay for it.
Lao Bai turned angry instantly. “What shit are you spewing? You had the highest bid so take this and pay up!” He held the sword in front of him telling him to take it.
“… Aiya! Stupid me, I forgot to bring my Immortal Stones! Sorry, but I can’t pay for it so ignore my bid…” He acted by looking into his Storage Pouch and turned around to run away.
“…”
Lao Bai and Tian Yi looked at the running shadow with a dumbfounded look.
What the fuck? If he did not have the money, why did he bid on it in the first place? Now he wasted everybody’s time…
Jiu Hang looked back with a smile, “Now that the bid is voided, can I bid my 20 billion High Ranked Immortal Stone?”
Tian Yi looked at Jiu Hang and said with an apologetic face, “Sorry Senior, it’s not that I don’t want to sell to you, but I can’t.”
Jiu Hang frowned and asked, “What? Why not? Who said you couldn't? I’ll handle it.”
Lao Bai came in and said, “Senior, My noble Young Master, waited in line for hours to sell, yet before he can even speak, he was cursed at. Not to mention that your Jade Phoenix’s Auction House even said that even if my Young Master were to beg them, they won’t buy it and chased us away. Which is why we’re selling out here.”
Hearing that, Jiu Hang’s friendly face instantly turned furious, “What?! Which bastard said that? Tell me right now, and I’ll kill them!”
He turned red from anger. Which fucking idiot said not to buy it even if he begged? That idiot just personally ruined the entire Jade Phoenix’s Auction House once in a lifetime opportunity! When was the last time they sold a Half Step Sovereign Treasure? Never!
If he finds out who did this, he will personally slay them! No, even if he didn’t, the Azure Phoenix God Sect will do it!
Each Four Ancient Land had their own Sovereign Treasure and now their Sect got a chance to get another one that was close to it. But some idiot had to come in and ruin it! What happens if the other three Ancient Land gets their hands on it? That would be a significant loss for their Sect!
Jiu Hang suddenly caught a glimpse of Meng Ling. He stared at her with an angry face, “Meng Ling! You should have been here for awhile! Tell me exactly what happened here!” He shouted.
Meng Ling who had her mind blank woke up and ran to Jiu Hang to pay her respects, “Little Ling greets Master Hang.” She bows.
“Hurry up and tell me what happened here!” He ignored her greetings and urged.
*Dong*
Meng Ling kowtowed and cried, “…. Master Hang, I was wrong and didn’t prevent it when I had the chance!”
Jiu Hang got even angrier after hearing his most favorite and trustworthy girl was involved, “Stop crying and tell me!”
Meng Ling wiped her tears and said, “Yes, it all happened when…..”
She started to narrate the story that took place when she first arrived and how she tried to prevent the Young Master from leaving, yet her Junior Sister kept on making things worst and how things got to this point.
Jiu Hang almost puked blood from anger.
It all started because this girl got too arrogant and tried to chase away this ordinary looking boy!
All this shit caused by a mere door servant? How ridiculous! If the Azure Phoenix God Sect lost a Half Step Sovereign Treasure because of a servant, they would be laughingstocks for years to come!
Jiu Hang looked at the unconscious girl on the floor and said coldly, “Bring her away and execute her tonight in the city square for faking authority and causing harm to my Azure Phoenix God Sect!”
“Yes, Master!”
Servants came to tie up the unconscious girl and dragged her away.
Jiu Hang sighed and looked at Tian Yi.
“Young Sir, can you tell me your name? I would like to apologize to you for this unfortunate event and hope we can talk it out.” He asked.
He had to do whatever it takes to smooth things out and flip their bad relationship around.
Tian Yi still had a calm looking face. He understands that it was not the entire Jade Phoenix’s Auction House’s fault. One bad apple only caused it within in a dozen.
“You can call me Song Shu!” He said with a smile.
