As he extended himself to his full length, he assumed the posture of a cheetah looking for prey, and then suddenly shot forward with incredible speed.

In an instant, he was standing in front of the Mahhe, who was taken aback by his presence and amazed to see that he was still alive.

Wu Kuang sprang up into the air, his right arm stretched back, ready to swing with great force.

Wu Kuang, who beheld such a furious expression, managed to keep a smile on his face and started to move forward with slow strides.

With his entire right arm broken and his legs on fire, he still pushed forward.

A huge amount of blood began spurting out his eyes, mouth, and white skin pouring over the ground.

His blood began floating off the ground.

Out of nowhere, two large, dark, and hazy hands materialized and started to tear the atmosphere apart.

A huge, distorted figure of a reaper, with a long scythe that was completely cloaked in a deep, midnight black, appeared and hovered above Wu Kuang.

The scythe was able to absorb all the blood that was floating around.

Wu Kuang, his complexion pale like a ghost, slowly lifted his finger and pointed it in the direction of the approaching beast.

"Kill..."

The reaper at his order let out a cold screech and in an instant appeared above the Mahhe and swung down its giant scythe that was covered in blood.

The Mahhe tried to dodge to the left but was too slow as its entire body was cut in half like paper.

The reaper vanished into thin air once the enormous corpse had landed on the ground, as if it had never been there at all.

Poof!

With this, fight over...

Wu Kuang fell back swiftly and landed on his back.

Looking up toward the sky, he spoke in a quiet voice.

"Power, more power…"

After a few moments had passed, Wu Kuang slowly rose to his feet, his body depleted of energy, and he slowly made his way toward the Mahhe cadaver.

Due to the fact that the deceased had already been cut in two, there was no necessity for him to cut open the body and search for the cultivation core.

The cultivation core was lying on the ground, giving off a strong and vibrant aura.

He slowly got up and grabbed the cultivation core, settling himself on the ground and shutting out all sound and light as he closed his eyes.

Immediately the Mahhe's cultivation core was absorbed.

As he opened his eyes, a feeling of immense power surging through every part of his body all at once was overpowering.

A cold KI suddenly started radiating around his body, making the air around him tremble and the ground to crack.

As soon as the power surged through him for a few seconds, Wu Kuang flashed a devilish smile and vanished from the spot he was standing.

As soon as Ai Yao caught a glimpse of the veins in Gu Xia's head, almost ready to burst, she rolled her eyes.

A tiny chuckle escaped Ai Yao's lips before her fist crashed down onto the table with a loud thud.

All the people seated at the surrounding tables looked over at Ai Yao with confusion on their faces.

Embarrassment flooded through Ai Yao when she realized that everyone in the restaurant had gone quiet and were all staring at her, causing her entire face to flush bright red. She looked apologetically towards the people who were staring at her, expressing her regret for the disruption to their meals.

"I would like to extend my apologies for my excessive volume and hope that I have not caused any inconvenience."
