Chapter 99 What It Takes To Stand By Leon’s Side

Leon stood in the skybox like an emperor, panning his gaze across the circular stands lining the colosseum. He raised his hand to obtain full silence from his haremites.

"Tonight, we bring you the most exciting match-up imaginable!" He roared with his hands held high.

The haremites exploded into cheers, thrilled and hanging onto his every word.

"Both women are known for their cuteness and terrifying power." Leon said with a slight smile.

"You know the first well. She's known by many names, but the one that's universal is the Angel of Death."

One second of stunned silence met his words before the audience exploded into feverish applause.

The blonde walked before Leon and spread her golden wings. Everyone in the stands devolved into a manic frenzy when they saw her.

Caitlyn took flight, moving into the arena with elegance and grace, triggering gasps of awe and wonderment.

Her golden wings shone in the air, and her outfit stunned everyone. She wore her pink, white polka-dotted dress with a crimson bow tying her ponytail that fluttered in the nighttime breeze.

Magical lights pre-packaged by the gods illuminated her form as she flew to the center of the arena.

"Everyone, I present you my goddess, Caitlyn Mira!" Leon roared, "The angel that blesses Harem City and keeps you safe!"

The haremites exploded into thunderous applause.

"You may be thinking, who could stand against Caitlyn?" He grinned, "Well, in normal circumstances, the answer is simple: no one."

A wave of laughter met his cheeky smile and tone.

"However, tonight, the gods reduced stats to balance the competitors, and participants can only inflict damage with a pillow." He continued, "So the question is, who can fight this angel?"

The audience calmed down, awaiting his words.

"There is one candidate that can compete with the debuff." Leon grinned, "It's Harem City's lovable and lethal mascot, Tricksie Swarmtail!"

Everyone exploded into applause as the bunny woman jumped from the skybox, effortlessly jumping 50 yards onto the mattress with a front flip.

She immediately skipped to the center of the massive mattress, twirling around in her cute mid-blue dress, wrapped with a massive light blue bow on the back.

The crowd went wild, and the notifications rolled in as she skipped into the area with unparalleled cuteness.

When Tricksie got to the center around Caitlyn, she kissed her hands and sent the kiss to the audience. Explosive cheers rocked the stands in response.

"Whose's ready to watch a biblical battle between two members of Harem City's Dainty Death Squad!?" Leon roared with his hands held high.

Waves of manic applause, cheers, and whistles shattered the airwaves, filling the empty city streets.

"Then let's get this party started!" He roared, "You have one minute to speak your frustration before all hell breaks loose."

Caitlyn narrowed her eyes at the bunny woman. "If Leon didn't hold me back, I would've killed you thirty-four times by now."

"That's cute." Tricksie giggled, "We'll see how that remarkable power does when you're the size of a toy soldier."

"Such a petty power won't save you." The blonde replied with murderous eyes, "Nothing will stand between me in my man."

"Keep telling yourself that." The bunny taunted while flicking her hair, "That man might be a virgin now, but do you think you can please someone like that forever."

"Unlike you, I don't foolishly equate love to sex, cunt." Caitlyn replied viciously.

"My love serves his needs, whatever they are, and sex isn't his priority right now.

If it were, he'd take full advantage of us, and his lips would've met yours already."

Tricksie giggled with malicious eyes. "Are you sure about that? Or are you just compensating for being too unattractive to trigger his desires?"

Caitlyn's eyes filled with murder, and so did someone else's.

"You can voice your frustrations, but don't you dare insinuate I don't find [my woman] attractive or worthy of sexual attention." Leon growled viciously.

The bunny woman's eyes widened in shock and regret, and the blonde's heart skipped a beat.

"I-I'm just surprised you hadn't, Leon." Tricksie said meekly.

"In one week, there's been an apocalypse, and we're building a city with five hundred people. When exactly were we supposed to lose our [virginities]?" He asked mockingly.

The crowd fell silent, and the bunny woman quivered.

"Don't you think it's more important for me to build a world where my women can be happy?" Leon asked, "To create the life they deserve? A place where they can thrive?"

Tricksie looked at the ground, and he panned the audience.

"Listen up, everyone! I'm not blaming this beautiful woman for her ignorance, as I'm sure everyone has the same misconceptions." Leon asserted.

"But I'll only say this once. Hate me if you wish, be discontented if you feel the need, but don't threaten my women or question my love for them."

"Sorry, Leon." Tricksie said while looking down with a downcast expression.

"Wipe that weakness off your face." He scoffed, "If you're sorry, prove you're who I think you are and you're worthy of being by my side."

Caitlyn's heart welled with emotions and determination.

Tricksie nodded and slapped her face multiple times, trying to retain her confidence. She looked up and stared into Caitlyn's resolute eyes.

The sight inspired her and showcased the angel's words from before were genuine; she did give everything to him.

She looked back to Leon and saw the same eyes. The unwavering expression filled with inextricable confidence made her desire the same respect and loyalty.

Her mind filled with an unnatural obsession to win and regain his respect.

"Caitlyn, you're horrifying debuffed against Tricksie." Leon said straightly, "That's perfect. Show this woman that terrifying power isn't necessary to stand by my side."

Caitlyn nodded and turned back to the bunny woman with eyes that became hypnotically crazed.

Everyone watching her expression on the Forbidden Library felt an icy shiver run down their spine.

However, Tricksie didn't waiver. Despite her normal appearance, she wasn't in a sane state of mind. Her only focus was on winning.

"You may begin!" Leon yelled.

Blink.

THUD! Thud! Thud, thud, BOOM!

Tricksie instantly flew across the battlefield as Caitlyn smashed her with a pillow, hitting the mattress multiple times like a skipping stone before smashing into the wall.

Leon's words accidentally activated [Charge] and [Sick'em], which were intrinsic skills and not an offensive attack.

As a result, Tricksie's level 99 speed turned Caitlyn into a lightning bolt. It was a reminder that the bunny woman was extremely overpowered, and the debuff only made Caitlyn less than invincible.

Despite the first attack advantage, Tricksie snapped into focus and awaited Caitlyn.

BOOOOM!

The blonde charged and smashed into her at blinding speed, rocking the colosseum.

The structure instantly repaired the cracks around the crater to prevent it from stands above from collapsing.

Caitlyn pulled back aggressively but found herself shrinking rapidly. She immediately dropped the pillow and flew backward, but Tricksie followed her out at blinding speed.

To everyone's bewilderment, the angel didn't get larger. As a result, her speed dropped significantly, allowing the crazed and bloodied bunny woman to catch up.

Tricksie grabbed the child-size woman, and she shrank again to the size of an action figure.

Caitlyn's fairy-like head looked up as a massive pillow the size of a house crashed down on her.

THUD!

She smashed into the mattress and rebounded back into the pillow as it smashed into the ground, pinning her to the mattress.

Tricksie had a bloodthirsty gaze with insanity in her eyes as she pushed down as hard as possible, attempting to smother the blonde's tiny body.

Everyone but Leon gasped in shock as the scene unfolded. The bunny woman who always smiled, even when angry, was baring her teeth with a crazed grin.

Her expression changed abruptly as an unnatural oscillation shook her arm.

ChhhhhhHHHRR SNAP!

"Gahhhhhhhh!" Tricksie screamed, releasing her left arm as the wave-like ripple went up her arm and snapped at the elbow.

Caitlyn used her tiny left arm to push up against the pillow and hit it at full strength in the center of the woman's palm, creating an overpowered strike at pinpoint precision.

It showcased her knowledge of human anatomy, proof of her brutal training as a child.

Tricksie flew backward. Instead of letting the bunny girl escape, she flew in her tiny form toward her, carrying the oversized pillow, and confusing everyone.

The bunny woman used her right hand to shrink the pillow and grabbed the shrinking blonde, squeezing the pillow against her body at Level 99 strength.

However, Tricksie woman immediately regretted her decision when she noticed the golden glow inside her palm.

"Heavenly Barrier—" She trembled in shock.

Caitlyn flew into the woman while hiding behind the pillow. As a result, Tricksie didn't notice the barrier she activated as she shrunk.

As soon as the angel released the barrier, she flew out of the bunny woman's palm using the full might of Blessed Flight.

The toy-soldier-sized blonde touched down on the Tricksie's wrist and ran forward along the woman's forearm.

Tricksie tried to slap the insect, but her left hand and arm were smashed. So she could only shake her arm as the blonde ran up her bicep.

The shaking wasn't useful, as the blonde could fly! Her running was just a ruse!

Before she understood what happened, the angel flew into the bunny woman's ear and spoke into her ear drum like a microphone.

"Don't question my man again!" Caitlyn yelled while lifting her tiny pillow and hitting the bunny woman in the ear drum.

"AGHHHHHHHHH!" Tricksie screamed in pain as a torrent of blood shot out of her ear. She immediately slapped it, but it only served to slap herself, as Caitlyn already flew away.

The bunny woman lied to Caitlyn and Leon. Her power only made something larger when it hit terminal velocity and moved out of her vicinity. Otherwise, an object could crush her.

That's why Caitlyn didn't get larger. The blonde already knew that, so she hit high speed and reached a safe distance, instantly reverting her body to normal size.

Tricksie opened her eyes just in time to see a pillow smashing into her face with Level 99 power.

She flew across the arena again, skipping along the mattress until she hit the wall.

BOOM!

Standing was difficult, as her equilibrium got crushed by losing hearing on one side. So her disoriented body swayed while trying to protect her head with her right hand.

BOOOOOM!

A pillow smashed into her crotch and made her crash into the wall.

Aware of her inability to block with one arm and half her senses, she crouched. Unfortunately, that didn't help as a pillow crashed down on her head.

It shrunk to 2/3rd size, but that made things worse, as Caitlyn could use it to pinpoint her undefended areas.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom, boom, boom….

Caitlyn smashed the pillow into Tricksie until it was the size of a hand warmer. Then she flew backward, it became full size again, and then charged.

BOOOOOOM!

An explosion of blinding filled the area, indicating that the fight was over.

Tricksie's wounds healed instantly, allowing her to comprehend just how savage the beatdown was. She looked at the blonde with trembling, shame-filled eyes.

"I'm…."

"My man just told you to wipe that weakness off your face!" Caitlyn snapped, "If you want to be by his side, control yourself like Lindy does!"

Without further warning, the blonde shot from the wall and flew back to the skybox at ghostly speed, flapping her wings to the sound of the roaring fans.

A split second after Caitlyn flew into the skybox, Leon grabbed the woman by the waist and threw her into the wall, kissing her passionately.

He was overcome with extreme emotions after his feelings for Caitlyn were questioned, and seeing her savage resolve only served to fuel that passion.

Those watching on the Forbidden Library cheered feverishly as the two made out. Caitlyn grabbed the back of Leon's neck passionately as he pulled her closer.

He turned his head back to the stadium.

"Lindy's in charge of the next ten fights!" Leon announced aggressively.

Then he looked down at Lindy. "I promised you I'd fulfill your desires after losing my virginity to Caitlyn. So wait until tomorrow, and I'll make that dream come true."

Explosions of cheering and a flurry of notifications flashed across everyone's eyes as Caitlyn picked Leon up and flew into the sky above the stadium.

When they were in the center, he gave them one last glance.

"Now cut the feed—for the gods and candidates!" Leon yelled, "Only one person gets to experience this. Fuck with me, and I'll never accept a special event again!"

Whistles and cheers waved filled the nighttime sky as they flew away.

He rid Lindy of depression, is receptive to her insecurities and is helping her overcome her sex addiction.

Reina feels happy for the first time because he likes her for her pathological lying.

Minx has an obsessive desire to protect herself but feels free because Leon makes her feel safe.

Tricksie also has a hidden affliction that will soon come to light as well.

It's ironically wholesome.

These women aren't 2D sex dolls that Leon should unceremoniously sleep with just because he can. They have desires, struggles, and emotions.

I'm developing the dynamic relationships they deserve. That way, they can thrive instead of following him around silently.
