Chapter 29 I’ll Gladly Die Happy

Leon turned his body and pointed to the door they had just come from.

"There's an infestation growing in that room." Leon stated calmly.

The brunette turned around to see Sarah holding up a golden barrier with a strained expression. She was sweating and panting, but the barrier held dozens of monsters at bay.

It blocked out most of the noise as well, which was incredible.

"I get that Caitlyn has skull fucked your confidence over the last two days, but…." He chuckled.

Lindy looked at Leon with slightly teary eyes. When did she start feeling so honest and pathetic?

"Your sex drive and wildness just pleased me, Caitlyn, Mount Olympus, Asgard, and Mount Tai simultaneously." Leon laughed in amazement.

"The harem god is stoked and has leveled you up fifteen times for emotional and sexual behavior in the last fifteen minutes, and you're no longer fiending."

Lindy's body felt a wave of static ripple through it.

"So if you want Caitlyn to stop bullying you, summon some crazy water shit and prove Caitlyn's patron isn't the only god that can create a flood." Leon chuckled.

"If you can simultaneously kill everything in that room, Caitlyn won't treat you like an ant, and I'll grab your ass the next time I kiss you."

Lindy's head cocked to the side two centimeters for 0.73 seconds before returning. Something snapped in her brain.

A torrent of screaming energy exploded instantly, and her mind lost the ability to think rationally.

Leon watched the scene in horror. He figured it would have some effect. However, he didn't know the Harem God temporarily reduced her emotional magnification to prevent her from sexually assaulting him and returned it after she was satisfied again.

Now she had returned to normal but was preoccupied with a fear that Leon wouldn't accept her and give her a good life because she wasn't as crazy or powerful as Caitlyn.

Caitlyn narrowed her eyes as she watched the monsters pounding against the barrier.

Lindy lifted her hand in the air, and a torrent of black energy filled her palm.

"Black? Why in the hell—"

"Styx."

Leon, Caitlyn, and Sarah instantly covered their ears as piercing shrieks exploded in their eardrums.

The cries were [not from the beasts] locked in the room.

Instead, they came from the raging flood of black water that exploded from the mini hurricane Lindy shot out of her hand.

The second it touched the lizard that looked like an Ankylosaurus that had just exited a furnace, the monster immediately flew back into the room before submerging in a black ocean.

The [water], if it could even be called water, was pitch black and oozed out extremely slowly. It looked like molasses as it spread out.

On the top of it were white ghostly figures howling and shrieking as they constantly rose to the surface before getting pulled back in as if they were drowning.

This was Styx, the Hateful River that led to the underworld.

Everything it touched was instantly stuck in muck thicker and stickier than tar. It restrained the monster's movements, causing them to lose balance once they moved. And once a monster fell, they could only join the ghosts in their drowning and screaming before suffocating.

It was brutal.

"Sarah! Barrier!" Leon cried. The room wasn't enclosed, and the last thing he wanted was to get caught up in that death trap himself.

"I… did…." Sarah replied softly.

Leon's eyes widened in bewilderment. He was so focused on the horrifying scene in front of him that he didn't notice that the wailing river hadn't reached their room.

"It's an Aquarium barrier." She explained.

The barrier she erected was completely clear with only a faint glow. By its name, he could only surmise that it trapped water like a fishbowl.

As a result, they could clearly see the brutal scene unfold in 4k without fearing for their lives.

"Look, Leon!" Lindy cried in excitement, "I did it! Aren't you proud of me!?"

Leon's head twitched with the same level of madness as Lindy's before she unleashed the underworld on their enemies.

"Ummmm… yeah. This is pretty… um… something… I'm impressed you killed everything!" He yelled back awkwardly.

"Right? So… ummm… are you in the mood now!?" Lindy asked bashfully while averting her gaze and blushing.

"Now?" Leon asked with a strange pubescent laugh.

The young brunette was fidgeting nervously. In any other situation, Lindy would steal a man's heart away with her cuteness.

However, this wasn't a normal situation. Not even close!

In addition to the flying monsters and beasts outside of the room screaming, screeching, and roaring trying to free their feet from the muck, the spirits in the river were still wailing.

He wanted to grab the woman and scream [are you fucking insane, woman?] but that would be similar to asking a human if they liked drinking water. Even if she said no, the answer was yes.

He was appalled by Lindy's behavior.

However! As a man of culture, he was duty bound to please his women.

So he quickly rationalized that if he didn't meet her request, she'd glue him to the floor with some wailing river and assault him during a withdrawal period. Lindy was over the moon. Subconsciously she correlated Caitlyn with crazy, and Caitlyn was happy and loved by Leon, who was shockingly accepting and gentle.

Whatever that woman was doing worked, and she wanted to learn from it.
